A Focus on Quality Ventilator Care

At RSS we pride ourselves on providing quality ventilator care in a variety of settings.
Our ventilator services are considered to be our focus as opposed to just something we do. Our management team has extensive experience in this arena and for us it is more than a necessary part of the business model, it is a family affair and a life’s work.
RSS provides ventilator services both in the facility setting and in the home. Our facility based services have produced exceptional results in weaning patients who were deemed unweanable, and as such would have otherwise been discharged home on a ventilator. This service improves the patient /family quality of life and dramatically decreases health care costs for this patient population.
Our facility wean rate currently stands at 75% which is consistent with the recently published 67% rate in a study done in conjunction with the Mayo Clinic.
In the home we put emphasis on preventing unneeded hospital rebound and readmission. Our Rebound Prevention program has resulted in a readmission rate of 10% within 30 days as opposed to the published rate of 30%.
